Seoul Photo Diary

For a trip that was planned for over a year, the experience of staying in Korea for 2 weeks has definitely exceeded our expectation - both in the challenges we faced and the surprise we received. The first and most arduous challenge was the weather, I had been battling with the cold in Korea since day 1 all the way to the last day. If you are from a warm/ tropical area like I do, I would recommend to not visit Korea in winter times, unless you want to engage in winter activities or be an human ice pop at -10 degrees.

Apart from the cold, Korea had offered me extraordinary surprises with its culture, food, architecture and history. I set foot on every single temple we could find, fought the cold to N Seoul Tower with the falling snow biting our faces and fingers, was in the KTX (express train) for over nine hours to travel to different parts of Korea, went on the DMZ + JSA trip to the border of North Korea risking my life (not really) and more that I have put in a list below.

South Korea is an interesting place and is definitely worth a visit!
